The wireless
Mains Sensor is a small battery powered unit that can be
mounted on existing water meters, even when the space around the water
meter is restricted. It includes a probe that is compatible with
commonly available water meters, such as RMC (Reliance) and Elster
'bullet' meters.
The flow information from the Mains Sensor is wirelessly transmitted to
the Display Unit for collation and subsequent computation and display of
consumption statistics. The wireless transmission includes unique codes
so that the display unit only processes data from a specific water meter
sensor. This is an important requirement where separate systems are
installed on adjacent properties.
