| Tank Water Monitoring
The
Aquamonitor Tank Sensor gives you much more detail than just the tank
level. A range of parameters for the tank are displayed so that you can
better manage tank supplies, particularly in times of low rainfall.
Carried water is expensive to buy and the quality and origin of the
water may be questionable. The Aquamonitor concept is to reduce
and manage consumption by monitoring how much water is consumed day to
day from your tanks.
There are five categories of data displayed for
each tank.
Water
Level - how much water do I currently have in my tank
Water
Consumption - how much water is being consumed from my tank
Water
Inflows - when was the last rainfall and how much water did I
receive
Remaining Capacity - when is my tank likely to run dry
Alarms
- have I left a hose on, or is the tank getting low.
Water level is shown in litres so you know the actual
volume of water currently held in the tank. The level is also
shown as a percentage.
Water consumption is displayed as the number of litres
consumed from the tank as a daily average and for each day over the past
week. The consumption from the tank is also shown as litres
consumed per person.
Water infows (usually rainfall from a roof) into the
tank are displayed, in litres for the present day and for the past week.
This shows the actual volume of rainfall that was collected by the tank.
Remaining capacity is computed from the present water
level and from the water consumption history. The remaining
capacity is displayed as the number of days of water remaining in the
tank.
There are two alarms that can be set for each tank:
one is a low level alarm which provides a flashing indication at the
Display Unit when the water in a tank falls below a set value. The
other alarm is a prolonged use alarm, which activates if consumption
occurs for more than a preset time. A prolonged use alarm can warn
of a water tap left on in the garden, or when filling a pool.

in Operation
The Display Unit provides detailed statistics and
graphs on the tank consumption and water level.
Daily checking of the display is not usually required
to improve your tank management. The buttons will flash when
attention is needed.
The buttons can be set to flash if water level is
getting low. Or if the water from the tank is being drained for a
continuous period of time, for example if a hose is left on. |
